Club Membership Cloud

Cookie Policy

Last updated: 05-06-2026

We try to keep this simple: Club Membership Cloud does not use cookies, or similar technologies like local storage, for advertising, analytics, or tracking. We only use the small number needed to make the website and platform work, or for security purposes.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Local storage works similarly — it’s a way for a website to store small bits of information directly in your browser, often used to remember settings between visits. Both can be used for things like keeping you logged in, remembering your preferences, or tracking your activity across sites. UK law treats them the same way, so we cover both below.

What we use

Name Mechanism Set by Purpose Consent needed?
PHPSESSID Cookie Us Keeps you logged in while you use the platform No — strictly necessary
__stripe_mid Cookie Stripe Helps Stripe detect fraudulent payments No — necessary for processing your payment
__stripe_sid Cookie Stripe Helps Stripe detect fraudulent payments during your current session No — necessary for processing your payment
_grecaptcha Local storage Google (reCAPTCHA) Blocks spam and automated abuse on our forms No — security purpose, though Google’s own privacy policy also applies as they’re processing this on their own terms
tinymce-custom-colors-forecolor / tinymce-custom-colors-hilitecolor Local storage Us Remembers custom text and highlight colours chosen in the platform’s editor No — functional preference only
tinymce-url-history Local storage Us Remembers recently used links for the editor’s “insert link” feature No — functional preference only
pdfjs.history Local storage Us Part of our embedded PDF viewer, remembering where you left off in a document you opened directly] No — functional preference only

What we don’t use

We don’t use:

  • analytics or website statistics tools (e.g. Google Analytics);
  • advertising or retargeting pixels;
  • third-party tracking or social media embed cookies.

Do we need your consent?

Because everything we use is either strictly necessary for the platform to function or serves a security purpose (like blocking spam or fraudulent payments), UK rules (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) don’t require us to ask for your consent — we just need to tell you they’re there, which is what this page does.

If that changes in future — for example, if we add analytics or marketing tools — we’ll update this policy and add a consent banner before any non-essential cookies or local storage are used.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page if the cookies we use change. Check back here if you want to know what’s current.
